America is facing great challenges. We need bold ideas for change that are equal to to the problems we face. Our country needs to hear truth from its leaders.

The truth is that Washington is broken-rigged by the powerful special interests and lobbyists to benefit the very few at the expense of the rest of us. Because our government no longer works for most of our people, we risk becoming the first generation of Americans that fails to pass on a better life to our children. You are the guardians not only of what kind of political leaderships we'll have, but what kind of future we'll leave to our children.

I have detailed plans for national health care coverage, educational reforms for our schools, cleaning up our environment and making sure our government works for us.

Guarantee Universal Health Care: This is a moral issue. I will stand up to the drug and insurance companies and create real health care reform, including preventative care. My plan is workable and will cost less than the present one which leaves great majority of our people uninsured and under-insured.

Help Our Children: Provide quality education for all of our children. Children are our most important resource. We must end No Child Left Behind's punitive approach and restore a more comprehensive curriculum. My College Plan will make college affordable for all our students.

Achieve Energy Independence: I have an environmental plan that will reduce toxins poisoning our land, air and water. We must invest in innovation and renewable, alternative energy to create jobs that cannot be sent overseas.

Promote Cost Effective Government: Help to create the most efficient,and ethical use of the people's money

Education and Experience: R.N., Author, community activist and founder of United Children's Network whose focus is to prevent illiteracy among our children.
